#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In the next highly anticipated installment of Lee Child’s acclaimed suspense series, Jack Reacher comes to the aid of an elderly couple . . . and confronts his most dangerous opponents yet.
“Jack Reacher is today’s James Bond, a thriller hero we can’t get enough of.”—Ken Follett

“This is a random universe,” Reacher says. “Once in a blue moon things turn out just right.”
This isn’t one of those times.
Reacher is on a Greyhound bus, minding his own business, with no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there. Then he steps off the bus to help an old man who is obviously just a victim waiting to happen. But you know what they say about good deeds. Now Reacher wants to make it right.
An elderly couple have made a few well-meaning mistakes, and now they owe big money to some very bad people. One brazen move leads to another, and suddenly Reacher finds himself a wanted man in the middle of a brutal turf war between rival Ukrainian and Albanian gangs.
Reacher has to stay one step ahead of the loan sharks, the thugs, and the assassins. He teams up with a fed-up waitress who knows a little more than she’s letting on, and sets out to take down the powerful and make the greedy pay. It’s a long shot. The odds are against him. But Reacher believes in a certain kind of justice . . . the kind that comes along once in a blue moon.

  • Over the top

Have read all Reacher books. Loved each one. This one was different. Too much Mayhem, killing, absurdity. Maybe just too many bad guys to be killed by the end of the book.

This book was nothing but killing for killing sake. Trumped-up plot, slow, boring. Don’t waste your money.

Good Jack Reacher story. Sergio Leone would be flattered.
  • Reacher-like Yojimbo Redo

A well-paced story that begins perfectly Reacher — our modern, wandering, Lone Ranger — and then develops evenly and sensibly from there, with a fun supporting cast. The tie to the publicly well-documented Russian manipulation of US news could only be improved had Lee Child, a Brit, somehow tied in right-wing Cambridge Analytica’s unscrupulous manipulation of both Brexit and US elections.

A surprisingly weak effort by Mr Child!

I’ve read every one of the Jack Reacher books and loved most of them. Blue Moon didn’t have much depth. A lot of lame fill in paragraphs of trivial detail trying to deliver clever dialogue and humor. Ridiculous scenarios of Reach killing off approx 100 people single handedly. Stupid plot. Two stars is generous. I want a refund.
  • It’s the “old” jack reacher

I’ve loved Lee Child’s Jack Reacher stories ..... every one of them. I’ve looked forward to the publish date every year and read each book in a day or two. ..... totally engrossed. But this was not the Jack Reacher - nor the “smart” writing - of the previous series. This story was about a stone cold killer, albeit with a vigilante excuse. And killing was pretty much all that happened. It just wasn’t the “smart” writing I’ve come to expect. Mr Child, I do hope this was just an experiment. In this genre, you’re too good a writer to lower your standards like this.
  • Nothing but killing

I have read all the Reacher books and enjoyed them but not Blue Moon. This book is just about killing people as the main story.
  • Great read!

One of my favorite Jack Reachers, and I’ve read them all! A little out of character (working with a team?), but action packed and full of Reacher logic and hard hits.
